What moves the price
Paver type and pattern matter, but excavation depth, disposal of the old driveway, edge restraints and any grading work usually move the number more. A herringbone pattern costs more to lay than a running bond because of the cuts.
The permit part
Driveway and hardscape work in Hillsborough and Pinellas commonly requires a permit, particularly where it affects drainage, impervious surface limits or the right of way at the apron. Getting that confirmed first is cheaper than getting a stop-work order.
